We Love Turkish Language

From the first lesson, we are reading stories and tales for children in order to dramatize them. Thus, at the end of the lessons we get them adopt some habits, as well as let them think that Turkish stories are also enjoyable.

It is a great opportunity for children to learn Turkish language in order to develop themselves by thinking about cases and solving problems in their own mother tongue, recognizing the traditions of their countries and seeing bilingualism or multilingualism as a chance, as a citizen of the world.

Learn Turkish Dubai program helps to build intergenerational relationships, especially for a family.

Children have the ability to learn multiple languages at the same time. Children who learn and use their mother language better are also making progress in learning a foreign language.

On the other hand, children returning to Turkey due to various reasons will adapt more quickly because they have taken Turkish language lessons.

Language is the most important thing forming nation’s culture. The loss of language leads to a weakening of person’s ties with his/her own culture.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HERITAGE THAT WE CAN LEAVE FOR OUR CHILDREN IS TO EDUCATE THEM AS INDIVIDUALS WHO KNOW TURKISH LANGUAGE AND HAVE ADVANCED COMMUNICATION SKILLS BY DEPENDING ON THEIR OWN CULTURE.

The development, which we see in our children, motivates us and their families as being their educators.

The opinions of our students participating in our Turkish lessons are given below:

  • They like Turkish lessons and they say they enjoy the lessons.
  • Teachers approach children with love.
  • They are happy to listen stories in Turkish language lessons.

The opinions of the parents, whose students are participating in our Turkish lessons, are given below:

  • The children are trying to speak Turkish and the parents like it.
  • Children, who weren’t interested in learning Turkish language at the beginning, want to participate in Turkish lessons every day.

The situations that we usually observe with our students during the first class:

  • Problems arising from differences in sentence and alphabet structure in Turkish and English languages.
  • Lack of vocabulary knowledge and the difficulties in pronunciation.
  • Due to previous experiences, lack of interest in Turkish lessons at the beginning.
  • Parents’ opinions about learning Turkish, affecting learning English in negative way.

The approach we use to solve such problems:

  • Using the influence of music on learning, we teach basic concepts with music.
  • We teach the sentence structures with different games.
  • By using drama methods, we teach vocabulary with memory games.
  • We certainly read books in the lessons and make comments on the readings together.
  • We ensure that learning is persistent through images, rich resources and materials that appeal to children.

PERSONAL BACKGROUND

I graduated from the department of Child Development and Education. I have participated in various international drama symposiums, especially in Istanbul University. I completed the training programs of “From the Body to the Game, From the Game to the Song (Bedenden Oyuna, Oyundan Şarkıya)”, “Maria Montesorri”, “Doğan Cüceloğlu ile Öğretmen olmak (Being a Teacher with Doğan Cüceloğlu)” and finally “Atatürk University Intelligence Games” and “Harran University Creative Drama Instructor Education and Student Coaching”.

After working as a leading teacher, a drama teacher and a manager in various educational institutions in Adana and Istanbul for 15 years, I have started teaching under Learn Turkish Dubai program in Dubai since 2014.

Our journey, which we started with a few students, is growing day by day thanks to the parents who believe in us. Thus, we have the chance to reach more children.

Along with the happiness of continuous learning and self-improvement, our belief in the work we do is also helping us to do our job with pleasure and fun. Also the love that we build with our children and the light in our children’s eyes help us create the ideal conditions for education.

WE LEARN BY HAVING FUN

Our program’s most important aim is to teach our students, who are between the ages of 3 and 11, by entertaining Turkish language without boring them. Thus, Instead of long lectures, we use methods that help our children learn permanently;

  • Drama, game, music, dance and experiment
  • Artistic activities
  • Stories and Puppets
  • Physical Activities
  • Mental and Intelligence Games

HOW DO WE WORK?

The first impression and the first knowledge are very important for the children who are new for Turkish lessons.

That’s why:

  • We ensure that our children learn in better way and finish the lessons and by loving and having fun with the music.
  • After teaching children how to use basic skills, we start to let them feel “Yes, I can speak Turkish Language” when children start speaking.
  • In the future, we continue to teach basic and easy grammar rules.
